1. Here's my Scribd home page that appeared after I signed into the site. I already had an account.
Note: Click on the image to see it full size.
2. If you have a PDF file ready to upload and know where on your computer the PDF can be found, you click "Upload," as I did. Then you browse to the file, select it, and the file uploads. Here's the web page as it appeared while my PDF file was uploading.
3. Here's the web page with the PDF, Code of Best Practices in Fair Use, once Scribd finished uploading the PDF to my Scribd home page.
4. When I clicked on the thumbnail image of the document as it appeared on my home page, the link took me to the page where the actual document resides. Notice that just above the document image, there is a "Share and Embed" tab.
5. When I clicked the "Share and Embed" tab, I got this web page that provides the embed code for the PDF. I clicked "copy" that I found under the embed code and pasted the code into my new blog post (this post you are reading), making sure that I clicked the "Edit HTML" tab on the new post page before I pasted the embed code. Once the embed code wass pasted, I could click the "Compose" tab to return to editing the post.
6. Here is the PDF from Scribd.com that resulted from embedding the code in the new post.
